Do the work no matter how you feel about it. In fact, feel no way about it. Just do it, me. Write the things.

I need writing. Specifically, I need storytelling. It’s food for all parts of my being. It’s replenishing. It’s cathartic.

This afternoon, I listened to a few episodes of my narrated essays. I played the trailer episode and geeked out over Past Me like “I made that!”

I miss the kids. I miss writing too.

I went a full year without writing a chapter in Book 1. I still love the book’s premise, and I will finish writing it.

Dad and I talked about the books we’re writing — his memoir and my “Book 1”. Turns out I hadn’t told Dad the content of the first book I plan to publish. How is Book 1 going? It could use an outline.

A24, the film production studio that makes cool movies has some of their screenplays for sale in a stunningly perfect hardcover. I bought Ex Machina, and I think I like owning screenplays now.
