Turo Guest’s Mom Surprise-Trashed My CRV, But I Saw Bambi

Tonight, my CRV was returned to me disgusting. I did see a teenage Bambi tonight though, so that was pretty cool.

As I walked toward the Turo Guest inside my car to begin the check-in, I watched an older lady get out of the CRV.

The older lady who is not the person who rented the car from me was listed as a second driver on the reservation. She was also the Turo Guests’ mother.

While the lady was slowly getting out of the car, she explained that “the dogs got sick back there.” Dogs??, I thought As I double checked the reservation to confirm that no pet fee was paid. Then, the gravity of what she said hit me: multiple sick dogs were loose inside of the seating area of my car. Panic.

It’s 8pm, and I begin looking more closely at the inside of the CRV. Turned on a flashlight. Fur, mud, dirt, window streaks, fluid. Rage. Sounds are still coming out of the lady’s face like Charlie Brown’s teacher. I ask to the primary Turo Guest to come over. I can’t engage with her mom anymore.

The daughter and reliability party in this business arrangement is visible fuming. She hasn’t been talking because she might put her mother in the trunk of the other car after putting mom in a choke hold. I tell her this will cost me no less than a $300 professional detailing. A detailing that I have to get done on a day I’m in class because the CRV is reserved for 4pm tomorrow.

The young lady explains she will pay and that I have to do what I have to do. With authority, Eve looks at her mother and cuts off the older lady saying that she’s going to pay all of it. The younger Guest apologizes to me so much. She’s embarrassed, tired, and cold.

I’m fuming, tired, and in shock. I can’t fathom that any adult would be comfortable with returning someone else’s privately owned vehicle in this condition. I cut slits into 30 gallon trash bags to put over the driver seat so I can take the CRV to get cleaned in the morning.

I’m not uploading high resolution photos maybe I will after this is all settled. Here’s a snapshot from my photo album to show thumbnails and the number of photos I took.

Bambi was a boy, right? I know the name is feminine, but I vaguely remember Bambi growing antlers. Am I wrong about that?

Anyway, as I was driving to pickup comfort food dinner, I saw a small-antlered deer clumsily ambulate across a 3-way intersection. The young buck is definitely out past curfew. #seewhatididthere
