This morning, I logged into Turo and added a Delivery option: delivery the CRV to any location within 10 miles of my home for a fee of half the CRV’s daily rate.
Reading my reviews and feedback, I noticed a demerit in Convenience. The Turo Guest who didn’t mark 5 Stars noted that Car Location as an area of improvement. With that says to me is that at least one person was really bothered by driving up to Monte Sano Mountain to get the CRV.
I’m not mad at them. I get it. It makes me wonder how many other Guests were bugged by my pick up location but didn’t say anything. 🤔
So, I have adjusted the Pick up and return times to fit my class schedule — including lunch time. The price feels fair at $25 — half the daily rate of renting the CRV. Tuesday 18 January, I took an Uber from a Redstone Arsenal Gate to get home, and the cost with surge was $18.
Also, I added free delivery for Guests who book the CRV for 14 days or more.
We’ll see what happens with this Delivery experiment.
