Remember When Cars Would Jerk Because They Had Gears?

When I was a kid, cars came with separate keys for the ignition key and doors. I expect that my kids will have similar memories of gasoline-powered vehicles.

When I was a kid, cars came with two different keys: one key for the doors, trunk, and gas cap(some); another key for the ignition. I expect that my kids will have similar memories of gasoline-powered vehicles.

One day, we’ll share similar memories of when vehicles had gasoline engines. We’ll ask something like “Remember when cars would jerk during acceleration because the engine changed gears?” or “remember oil changes?”
