There are no new memories I can make with my father. I’m not doing. I genuinely appreciate everyone’s kindness. Replace the question “how are you?” with telling me something you remember about Dad.

While watching a good movie, I imagined explanations I’d share with future grandchildren about the technology/inventions they might see in “old” movies I like to watch. Ya know, movies from back-in-the-day. The 1900s and whatnot. I entertained myself for a few minutes writing these out.

Children remind us of that thing we must preserve to enjoy our work and to love the ideas we create in our grown-up lives. The people-but-smaller beings navigate the world with a magical, self-perpetuating wonder. I’m getting mine back.
