A typo I made in a Twitter comment inspired me to think of a list of terrible (or morbidly brilliant) reality TV shows ideas.

  • Son of a Botch — the show follows 6 late teens who are the children of one or more affluent parents with body dysmorphia and addictions to plastic surgery. The teens dramatically struggle to avoid adopting their own identity crises.
  • Homeless Hunters — the show follows a nonprofit that hosts a training facility that trains homeless people in multiple forest survival skills like the following: bow hunting, fishing, gardening, farming, cooking, woodworking, etc. The homeless competitors who complete the camp challenges are rewarded with one acre of land.
  • The Luke Warms — the show follows six clinically diagnosed underachievers who gather each week in extravagant hotel lobbies to ideate and overcome challenges where they’re asked to accomplish ONE thing that will move the ball forward for their respective dreams. Underachievers compete for weeks and go before a panel of judges that determine the top two performers who will receive funding to support launching their idea.
  • Smoke Blowers — the show follows six young professional career hoppers as they navigate each of their addictions to interviewing for information technology roles.
  • ThickTok — the show follows a group of overweight professionals who compete in nutrition and fitness challenges. Throughout a number of weeks, the competitors must creatively use their health and fitness journey as content to organically grow the largest TikTok following possible within the given time span.
