Michael Wright Planning Lawsuit Against Disney

Huntsville, Alabama — Michael Wright, U.S. Air Force Veteran and father of two, has announced his intent to file a lawsuit against Disney. Wright claims Disney must offer the third installment of the X-Men movie, X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), on its vastly popular streaming service, Disney+.

The developing lawsuit claims The Walt Disney Company is guilty of false advertising. According to sources close to Wright, he believes had he known that only two X-Men movies from the 21st Century Fox-produced trilogy were available on Disney+ at the time he subscribed, he would not have purchased the annual plan for the streaming platform.

“You can’t just say you have all the X-Men and Marvel stuff then not have the third part of a trilogy”, Wright shared with a well-known media outlet. “It’s not about the weak storyline, phoned-in dialogue, or the complete disrespect of the Rogue character. It’s a matter of having a complete set!” To note, Wright shared privately that he does in fact own the DVD versions of the films in question but that the DVDs are “all the way in storage”.

Wright also expressed his disappointment with Disney’s callous disregard of movie fans with Obsessive Compulsive Disorders. If Wright moves forward with the lawsuit, it will be the third high-profile lawsuit this year against the media giant on behalf of its newest streaming platform.

Since the launch of Disney+ (also Disney Plus) in the U.S. on 12 November 2019, the Disney (DIS) stock share price has increased by 27% – based on $175.45 at the market close of 2 August 2021 (sources: Yahoo! Finance, Google Stocks).

We reached out to Disney for comment. While Disney representatives did not address Wright’s claim directly, they did suggest that X-Men: The Last Stand is currently available to stream on Disney+.

Update: 3 August 2021 11:03 AM CST — Later, Wright confirmed that X-Men: The Last Stand is available to stream on the Disney+ platform. When asked if he would proceed with the lawsuit, Wright from his living room home office stuttered, “Yeah, well, but it should’ve always been there. I mean? *tssk* Yes, I will be pursuing compensation for the period of time I expected it [film X-Men: The Last Stand] to be there, and it wasn’t there.” He continued, “Maybe like a handful of gift cards or transferrable theme park passes and whatnot.”
