I leaped and submitted auditions in Voices.com today.
I set the target of 10 auditions and got 9. I’m good with that.
We’ll see what happens. I expect to get picked up about 1 in 40. That’s because I’ve been listening to podcasts from other actors registered on the site. I gather that a good ratio is booking 1 job in every 20-30 auditions. Yikes.
I told myself to get the mileage. I set a short target of 10 per day. Maybe I can boost that to 20 a day.
It doesn’t take much to submit auditions. Actually it’s kind of refreshing to read a short passage of someone else’s stuff when you’re used to reading and editing 800+ words every week.
I even skipped this past Thursday. I feel a little guilty about it. I’ll just make sure not to mess up twice in a row.
